<> ABSTRACT NATURALIST <> beaded art
Two separate but related color studies made with the traditional American Indian handwork techniques passed down through my First Nations Matrilineal family, and inspired by modern minimalism and abstract paintings of Josef Albers, Helen Frankenthalen and others.

“Abstract Naturalist Number 2” is a color and form study in squash orange, turquoise, and deep shades of sky and water blues, featuring metallic bronze and silver morning stars, and a pale squash blossom yellow streak through the horizon. Measures 1.5” x 6.5” inches.
